Our History

The Legal tradition of OS LAW as it’s known today began in the mid 50s when J.M Sotuminu ESQ returned from England as a member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn. This mantle was taken over by his son Olumuyiwa Sotuminu in the early sixties.

The firm of Olumuyiwa Sotuminu and Company has ridden the crest of the wave of economic growth with over sixty years of experience. We emerged as one of the leading firms in Nigeria with a clientele base spanning over 20 countries on 5 continents around the world.
As a result, Olumuyiwa Sotuminu and Company has recognised the need to rebrand and develop a modern and competitive brand that better reflects the firm's values and meets the needs of its target audience.

Our success is not only due to our deep understanding of the intricacies of the Nigeria law and its legal system, but also to our ability to satisfy the diversified needs of our international clientele, not only with efficiency and experience, but also with a sense of dedication and purpose while exercising our function in this learned profession.

The family’s commitment to the law profession extends to the forth generation and to public service where a member of the family rose to the position of Chief Judge of Lagos State during the first tenure of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Governor of Lagos State. Today the firm boasts of associates and partners beyond the family with the inclusion of bright and committed lawyers in their respective and chosen fields.
